The Maywood School District 89 Board of Education voted on Oct. 16, 2025, to table two agenda items: a recommendation about declassifying closed-session minutes and proposed Policy 4:115/4:112, District Vehicle Usage Procedures. The motion to table was made by Board Member Cervone and seconded by Board Member Scott; it passed 6–0 with one member absent (Macias).
Board President Williams told members the items would be revisited at a later meeting after additional review. During discussion, Board Member Scott asked specifically about driver training for snow removal under the vehicle policy; Interim Superintendent Dr. Algeanna Griffin said "driver training for snow removal will be included in the policy." The board did not take a final vote on the policy itself and instead deferred action to allow more consideration.
