Commissioners press staff on parking loss and lost launch revenue; kiosk and shuttles considered

A resident asked whether special events could reserve 20–40% of spaces for marina tenants and where an off-site shuttle staging area might be located.
Staff said operational answers remain to be finalized and pointed to options including a kiosk that prints an on-dash receipt, designated ticketing for special events and working with the city police/CSO to better enforce parking passes. "We were just looking at some immediate ones and then the thought was how much is worthwhile the investment right now when we're going through this process," a staff member said. The team also noted that some river slips may currently act to break up current and that changing their angle or removing them is on the table pending further study.
