Vernon County reports new talent‑recruitment grant, pursues two state grants

Amy Oliver, Vernon County Community Development Director, told the Economic Development Committee the county "received the WI Economic Development Corporation Talent Recruitment Grant." She also said the county has pending applications for the WI Department of Revenue Innovation Grant and the State Local Cybersecurity Grant, which county staff will continue to pursue.
The grants are intended to support recruitment and capacity building across the county. Oliver said staff will track grant conditions and return with updates as application statuses change and if the committee needs to allocate matching funds or amend department budget recommendations for September.
