Curriculum on July agenda; health curricula pilots and staff PD planned

Alexa Dunn, Director of Teaching and Learning, briefed trustees that the proposed curriculum will be presented for approval at the upcoming regular meeting and that no members of the public previewed it. She reported that health and PE teachers in grades 6'28 decided to pilot G-W Health Essentials (Aug'Dec) and McGraw-Hill Teen Health (Jan'June).
Dunn also described SoarED professional learning opportunities: sessions on AI and technology tools led by Jason Meltzer and Erin Vance, and three book studies (The Anxious Generation; Just Tell Them; Total Participation Techniques). About 50 staff members are participating in the offerings; some staff members are enrolled in more than one course.
