Board approves multiple 2025–26 service contracts including food services and special‑education consultants

The Board approved vendor contracts for 2025–26 that include Quest Food Management ($636,681), Marissa Bennett Consulting ($331,000), Heart of the City ($85,000), MCIE amended total ($182,546), Cartwheel Cares ($38,500), Seconds Matter ($35,810) and other vendor renewals and renewals for insurance and workers' compensation.
At its June 10 meeting, the Board voted to approve a package of vendor contracts and renewals the administration recommended for 2025–26. The Board approved Quest Food Management Services as the district’s food service provider at an estimated cost of $636,681 and approved the employment contract for a new Food Service Manager, Georgette Franco, effective July 1, 2025.
The Board also approved several student‑support and safety contracts: Marissa Bennett Consulting for paraprofessional training and BCBA services ($331,000); an amended agreement with the Maryland Coalition for Inclusive Education totaling $182,546 (an additional $71,193 to expand Early Childhood technical assistance); Cartwheel Cares virtual mental health services for $38,500; and a Seconds Matter renewal for BluePoint emergency system monitoring at $35,810. Insurance renewals with the Collective Liability Insurance Coop. (CLIC) were approved for property/casualty and student accident coverage at $349,094 and workers’ compensation at $278,151. The Board also approved an Andy Frain renewal for crossing guard services with a new hourly rate of $32.17.
