Board members voted unanimously to deny a resolution authorizing Glenbrook District 225’s withdrawal from the TrueNorth Educational Cooperative 804. Superintendent Dr. Michael Lubelfeld told the Board that District 225’s petition did not align with TrueNorth’s Articles of Agreement and warned that if two‑thirds of member districts withdraw, the cooperative would dissolve and remaining districts could inherit assets and liabilities.
The Board also approved a memorandum of understanding to join the Protect Lake County Community Support Team, an advisory body of Participating Member Agencies that will provide voluntary, consultative support at no cost to participating school districts. Ms. Jurmu described the team as including law enforcement, mental‑health professionals and educational institutions focused on preventing targeted violence and enhancing public safety.
