Dr. Matt Gordon, chair of the Policy Committee, led a review of PRESS Issue #117 (October 2024) and reported that the committee determined it would recommend the policies in that Press issue to the Board of Education with one exception: policy 7:165 was not recommended for adoption. The committee also agreed that most exhibits and administrative procedures from the Press issue should be added to the district's Administrative Procedures (AP) Manual, except for 6:20-AP, 6:60-AP1 and 6:335-AP, which the committee decided to exclude.
Committee members recorded in the minutes were Shannon Atkins and Jen Helfers (present) and Leann Kohl (absent). The minutes state that the committee's review and recommendation will be forwarded to the Board of Education; the minutes themselves were submitted for the Board's March 24, 2025 meeting by Secretary Nena Cox. No formal roll-call vote on the PRESS recommendations is recorded in the minutes; the document records the committee's determination as its formal recommendation to the Board. The meeting was called to order at 4:44 p.m. and adjourned at 5:11 p.m.
