On July 21 the Lemont Township High School District 210 Board approved the Concussion Oversight Team as recommended by the Superintendent and also approved a classroom lease agreement for the 2025–26 school year with the Southwest Cook County Cooperative Association to house its regional Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) program.
The approvals appeared on the Consent Agenda and passed by roll call as part of the motion carried July 21. The Concussion Oversight Team was described during building administration reports by Director of Athletics Mike Sommerfeld; the classroom lease was listed as Action Consideration #25-04. The minutes note the lease is for the 2025–26 school year. These items advance student-safety oversight and contractual educational services in district facilities.
Why it matters: A Concussion Oversight Team affects protocols for student-athlete health and return-to-play decisions. The classroom lease establishes a contractual arrangement to host the regional DHH program on district premises for the upcoming school year.
