Lemont Twp HSD 210 approves personnel consent agenda; hires, mentors and AP overloads included

The Lemont Township High School District 210 Board approved the Personnel Consent Agenda at its June 16, 2025 meeting by unanimous roll-call vote. Member Renee Koehler moved the personnel consent; Member Pam Driscoll seconded the motion.
Certified items included hiring Jill Wallace as a long-term substitute social worker at $345 per day for Aug. 7–Sept. 19, 2025, contingent on required documents and background checks. Time grade level consultants were approved at $1,000 for the 2025–2026 school year for specified staff, and mentor stipends were approved (mentors at $1,244.26 for first-year teachers). AP Science overload payments were authorized for additional required labs: Chris Hardy (AP Biology) $5,775.24; Bill Holeman (AP Chemistry) $6,017.94; Tina Bialek (AP Physics) $2,979.58.
Non-certified actions included hiring Maria Fiore as an ESY paraeducator at $19.00 per hour starting June 3–26, 2025, and recording resignations for John Wickey (Paraeducator, effective May 23, 2025) and Pamela Witkiewicz (Transportation, effective June 3, 2025). The Board also approved an adjustment to the number of work days for Kathie Vabalitis (Dean Secretary and Driver Education Support) from 205 to 208.8, increasing pay by $784.32.
The motion carried with Aye votes by Koehler, Kardas, Driscoll, Marzec, Antonopoulos, Gray, and Korte; no nays were recorded.
