Lemont Twp HSD 210 board approves consent agenda, authorizes $640,548.41 in bills and multiple payrolls

The Lemont Township High School District 210 Board of Education unanimously approved a consent agenda at its June 16, 2025 meeting that included payment of bills through June 16, 2025 totaling $640,548.41 and multiple payroll runs.

Member Mike Kardas moved, seconded by Member Lynn Antonopoulos, to approve the Consent Agenda. The motion carried on a roll call vote with all seven members voting aye. Chief School Business Official Ken Parchem had presented the financial reports through May 31, 2025 and reviewed the consent items prior to the vote.

The consent package covered routine minutes (May 12 regular and closed session; June 11 committee of the whole), authorization to pay bills attributed to FY25, renewal of the treasurer’s bond for 7/01/2025–7/01/2026, designation of interest earnings as interest (not principal) for FY24–25, release of capital lease and bond payments, a surplus declaration, and early release of specific payments due in early July. The Board also approved an amended 2025–2026 school calendar and changes to the 2025–2026 Student Handbook.

Contracts approved under the consent agenda included the Museum of Science and Industry as the site for the 2026 prom (April 17, 2026) and an athletic training contract with Athletico. The Board also authorized estimated travel expenses for seven board members to attend the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) conference in November 2025. The Consolidated District Plan, an adjustment to the ALT Agreement Appendix B, and several donations were included.

By approving the items as a single consent vote, the Board did not debate each line item individually during the public session. The Board recorded the unanimous vote as: Marzec, Driscoll, Koehler, Kardas, Gray, Antonopoulos, and Korte — Aye; None — Nay.

The approvals take effect as noted in the individual contract terms and district procedures.
