Agenda item E1, the district's fire-season outlook, was postponed because the meteorologist and the Great Basin Coordination Center representative had a scheduling conflict. "They had a conflict so we're just going to table this and we're going to do it at the end of the month," Matt said.
Matt added a brief preview of the outlook, saying grass growth has increased the county's fire potential in some areas. "This year the outlook is showing everything north of I‑80 is gonna be in high fire potential with the grass growth," he said. The board did not receive the full meteorological briefing at this meeting and did not take formal action on the outlook.
