Architect to check on $2,000 rebar contingency as band wall work continues

Committee Chair Emily Savino opened the July 7 Facilities Committee meeting and members received a construction update noting Stuckey work is complete and Grove Masonry’s work on the band wall is progressing. The committee was told Grove’s band wall work is expected to be finished by July 11.
A question was raised about a possible $2,000 contingency related to rebar. Committee member Jason Udstuen said he had not seen a change order related to the rebar concern; Jonathan Murawski of DLA Architects said he would ask Grove Masonry about the discrepancy. Members discussed the possibility of using contingency funds to address other remaining items if the rebar contingency is applied.
The committee did not take formal action on the matter and asked staff and the district architect to follow up with Grove Masonry to confirm whether a change order exists and whether contingency funds will be applied.
