Springfield 2051 team reports 1,000+ participants and shifts to action-oriented priorities

Beurle said key concerns emerging from sessions include growth-management pressure and a desire to prioritize infill over outward expansion, strengthen downtown and corridors, and protect natural assets such as water and farmland. He told commissioners the process is shifting from brainstorming to prioritizing a small number of actionable initiatives to guide investment.
