Clerk-Treasurer Nick Olsen reported that the City has notified the 14 firms that submitted RFQs for the new library project and identified the top three firms who will be invited to submit RFPs. The minutes state the City scoring committee will interview those finalists and select a design/builder toward the end of August.
Emily Burt of Friends of the Republic Library said RFQs for the childcare provider for the new building have been released and will appear in the local newspaper this week. She also noted a Kinross Big Check Ceremony on August 3 at 3:00 p.m. and a Friends of the Republic Library field trip with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation on August 6. The minutes record these procurement and community engagement steps but do not include selection criteria or contract values.
