The Washington Community High School Board convened into executive session at 8:00 p.m. on Jan. 13 under 5 ILCS 120/2 (C)(21) to review closed meeting minutes and under 5 ILCS 120 (c)(1) to discuss personnel matters. The board returned to open session at 8:46 p.m.
Following the closed session the board approved two actions: to destroy closed executive session audio recordings prior to July 2023 except those from October 2019, and to accept the six‑month review of executive session minutes as presented. Buck moved approval of the audio destruction action and Essig seconded; the roll call vote was 6–0 in favor. The minutes record these actions but do not provide a public summary of the personnel discussions that occurred in closed session.
