The Salt Creek School District 48 Board approved a broad Consent Agenda on May 15 that included meeting minutes, financial reports, personnel items, a 2025–2031 professional negotiations agreement with the Salt Creek Education Association, and the destruction of executive-session audio recordings older than 18 months. The motion to approve the Consent Agenda was moved and seconded and passed on a roll-call vote with all present voting aye.
Business staff presented and the board approved multiple vendor agreements at the meeting. Ms. Jilek recommended entering an agreement with EmbraceDS for Medicaid claiming services "at a cost of 5% of reimbursements facilitated by EmbraceDS," which the board approved on a roll-call vote. The board also approved commissioning services with AMSCO Engineering for $36,950 and third-party inspection services with Lakeside Consultants at a cost not to exceed $25,000. All were approved unanimously.
The board adopted the 2024–25 Amended Budget, following a public hearing held before the meeting. Because the 2025–26 budget will not be adopted until September, the board authorized the district treasurer to process payroll, accounts payable invoices, and other financial obligations during June and July 2025; those payments will be presented for ratification at the August meeting.
