Neighbors urge preservation of Robinson Hall and outbuildings in Waverly plan
Summary

A local resident and historian urged the commission to explore the property's full historic layout and called for stronger preservation of the mansion and its outbuildings. One commenter said the sketch plan as drawn "destroys the main house" and recommended integrating gardens and estate features into a new design rather than wholesale demolition of historic outbuildings.
Applicants responded that Robinson Hall is proposed to be retained and that some carriage‑house buildings of similar vintage may be repurposed; they said other later additions and some dormitory buildings likely would be removed because of condition and placement within setbacks. Jamie Jen and project staff indicated they are open to additional study of historic resources and noted that retaining more buildings could require additional zoning relief.
