Ms. Stacey Williams presented the election outcomes and Superintendent Dr. Ed Condon "thanked the current Board members for their service and congratulated the incoming members." Dr. Nicole Thompson moved to adopt the Resolution Declaring the Results of the Election; Mrs. Katie Avalos seconded. On the roll call the ayes were recorded for Dr. Thompson, Mrs. Avalos, Mr. Cortese, Mrs. Eckmann, Dr. Mackey, Dr. Isenberg and Ms. Williams; there were no nays, and the motion carried.
After the outgoing Board adjourned sine die, Dr. Eric Isenberg administered the Oath of Office to Kathleen (Katie) Avalos, Katherine Bevan, Joshua Ehart and Beth Vlerick; the transcript records that each new member "repeated the Oath of Office as presented." The board then took a roll call showing the newly constituted Board present.
The actions taken—certification of election results and the swearing-in—are procedural steps required to seat the new Board. The newly seated Board moved immediately into officer elections and organizational business.
