Board accepts $69,739 Willard School PTO gift for outdoor classroom

The Board of Education of River Forest School District 90 accepted a $69,739 gift from the Willard School PTO to fund construction of an outdoor classroom and canopy on the west side of Willard School.
Superintendent Dr. Ed Condon described the gift and the planned project. The acceptance motion was moved by Dr. Eric Isenberg and seconded by Dr. Nicole Thompson; the roll-call vote recorded ayes from Dr. Thompson, Ms. Williams, Dr. Isenberg and Mr. Cortese and the motion carried.
The minutes show the board thanked the PTO for the gift. The project total and its purpose are recorded in the meeting minutes and entered into the district record for capital improvements.
