The commission heard a preliminary (non-action) presentation from staff about an application by Legion Construction and Development LLC seeking to change open-space zoning to a special lands district for disjointed portions of a roughly 40-acre parcel. Staff explained that the master plan calls for special lands in the area and that correcting assessor parcel numbers and then mapping the parcels is the appropriate path.
Corey said the change is intended to "bring those 2 pieces into compliance with special lands before he brings in a parcel map form." The item was described as a preliminary step and will be scheduled as a public hearing in June for formal action.
