Convergence Health announces local expansion, opens cancer center in Elko

Claire Jensen, Business Development Specialist at Convergence Health, told the Elko County Board of Commissioners during public comment that the clinic recently completed a rebrand from Elko Community Health Center and expanded services at its East End Mall location.

"We recently completed our rebrand to Convergence Health, and although our name has changed, we continue to provide the same great care at the same location," Jensen said. She outlined outpatient and ambulatory surgical services the center now offers, including general and bariatric surgery, interventional cardiology, orthopedics, pediatric dentistry and a newly opened cancer center in partnership with NGM that provides chemotherapy, hematology and tele‑oncology support.

Jensen invited commissioners and residents to contact the clinic or pick up informational flyers she brought to the meeting. She said the center accepts major insurance providers, including plans used by the county's largest employers, and plans to add ophthalmology and total joint care soon.

The announcement came during the meeting's public‑comment period; commissioners did not take action on the presentation, but several thanked Jensen and noted community access to local cancer treatment may reduce travel burdens for patients.
