Request for Board of Education to use Old City Hall tabled for work session review

Commissioner Jason Frost moved and Commissioner Gerald Douglas seconded a motion on Sept. 3 to table consideration of a request by the Board of Education to use the county’s Old City Hall building. The minutes record the vote as unanimous and note the item will come back for discussion and a vote after further review at the next work session.
The minutes do not include a copy of any proposed agreement or any staff recommendation; County Manager Thomas Weaver said the item would be placed on the Oct. 1 agenda if an agreement is ready. No public testimony on the request is recorded in the minutes at the Sept. 3 meeting.
