During the final public comment period Bridal Riley, vice chairman of the TV board, told the commission the board recently granted permission for the University of Nevada, Reno to mount cameras on TV towers so the community can view potential fires and help with early detection.
"This last meeting we gave permission for UNR to put cameras on all of our towers to watch for fires," Riley said, adding the footage will be available for anyone to view and the board allowed the work at no charge because it benefits the community. The chair thanked Riley and closed the public comment period; the meeting then adjourned.
