Dispatch reports: Elko County answers 96% of calls within 10 seconds; Zetron console upgrade set for July

Pamela Courtright of the Elko County Regional Communications Center summarized April activity and technical upgrades, saying the center handled roughly 13,000 calls in April and has maintained strong service levels with rapid answer times.
"We continue to maintain a high level of service with 96% of all calls being answered within 10 seconds," Pamela Courtright said. She also noted the center is fully staffed with one dispatcher in training and that Zetron console and radio installation coordination is progressing, with a target installation date of July 21.
West Wendover dispatch staff reported the Total Response upgrade has improved speed and interoperability, that RapidSOS remains in use for text-to-911, and that staffing will soon reach full strength with an additional hire starting next month. Board members praised dispatcher recognition events held during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
