Staff advised that removing city police and sheriff flex-maintenance line items would reduce the published estimate; the working cost ranges discussed included an initial estimate in the $392,000–$492,000 range and an ongoing annual cost near $97,000, though board members cautioned those figures could rise.
The board amended the motion so the obligation is contingent on verifying available funds with county finance before taking an obligation to the county commission, then voted to pass the motion. Members noted the change is intended to transition the county off a state-hosted server to a locally managed CAD environment and to preserve funding for concurrent console and workstation upgrades.
