The Town of Addison Board voted unanimously July 3 to transfer $250,000.00 from the DB CSR to the DB Money Market account after the bookkeeper reported the highway DB account showed a negative balance.
Bookkeeper Linda Austin raised concerns about the DB account balance during new-business discussion; Supervisor Jack Thompson moved to transfer the funds and Council Member Alice Weale seconded. The roll call vote was Thompson—YES, Weale—YES, Lyons—YES and Becker—YES, and the motion was recorded as adopted 4-0.
Board members framed the transfer as an internal accounting measure to cover anticipated highway expenses for the remainder of the year. There was no public dissent recorded on the motion during the meeting. The transfer was entered into the minutes and will be reflected in upcoming financial reports.
