The board voted unanimously on a motion to provide health insurance to the Highway Superintendent through Teamsters Local Union No. 118, mirroring the plan used for highway workers and including HRA reimbursement. The motion, made by Council Member Trappler and seconded by Council Member Becker, passed on a roll-call vote with all five members voting yes.
Minutes note the superintendent previously had opted out of coverage and had been receiving a $10,000 payment for doing so. Under the new arrangement that payment will cease and the superintendent will pay the weekly cost share of $40.
