Town Clerk Robin Carr read the proposed local law and Assessor Teresa Lyons explained its effect during a public hearing that drew no speakers "FOR or AGAINST" the proposal. The hearing opened at 7:01 p.m. and was closed at 7:04 p.m., and the adoption was handled as an ordinary resolution later in the meeting. The adoption removes the possibility for property owners to claim RPTL §487 exemptions for qualifying renewable energy systems within Addison’s jurisdiction.
