Town of Addison approves three-year contract with Teamsters Local No. 118

The Town Board of Addison voted 5-0 on Jan. 21 to approve a collective bargaining agreement between the town and Teamsters Local No. 118 covering Jan. 1, 2025 through Dec. 31, 2027. Council Member Alice Weale moved to adopt the contract and Council Member John Lyons seconded; roll call was unanimous.
The negotiated contract specifies a 3.5% wage increase per year, provision of three safety sweatshirts annually, annual prescription safety glasses, implementation of a 4-day/10-hour workweek with an unpaid lunch period, and scheduled increases in employee health-insurance premiums: $40 per week in 2025, $45 in 2026 and $50 in 2027. The agreement also includes a retiree payment for Kevin Clark calculated at $100 per year of service, amounting to $3,500 under the terms discussed at the meeting. The motion to adopt the contract was recorded as "Motion Adopted 5-0."
Board members did not enter extended debate on the floor; the item was presented, moved, seconded and approved by roll call. The contract will govern wages and benefits for covered employees through the end of 2027 and will be administered by the town's human-resources and finance staff per usual practice.
