The decision follows department reporting of recent shop work and vehicle maintenance. Highway Superintendent Kenny Peoples Jr. had earlier described repairs to truck #2 and other shop activity during his departmental report, which also recorded January fuel usage of 413 gallons. The board did not specify a delivery timeline for the new vehicle.
