Public Works Manager Scott Klemm told the Parks Development Committee that the department has installed a driveway and a small parking area at the Dan R. Mahoney Conservancy site and planted 62 trees. Klemm said the planting cost was covered by tree removal at the Olive Garden site and by the WPS easement.
Klemm said the driveway and parking area will be paved later this summer, and the department still hopes to install a small shelter at the site in the future. The committee did not take formal action beyond receiving the status update during the meeting.
