Mayor Ryan Knipfer opened a public hearing on Dec. 29 on a liquor license application filed by the American Legion/Prairie Lounge. Applicants Betsy Schroeder and Kristi Hine attended the hearing and answered questions from the council before members chose to postpone action.
Councilmember Kari Fagerhaug moved and Layton Schimke seconded a motion to table the application until the Jan. 5, 2026 City Council meeting; the motion carried (Ayes: 4; Nays: 0). The council did not record conditions for approval when tabling the item; the item will return for further consideration at the next regular meeting.
