According to the minutes under the Fire Chief/Road Commissioner report, "During the lobster festival a restorationist approached a fire fighter about purchasing the ladder truck. This is the first offer we have had." The same section records that fire department members voted to give all money raised during the lobster festival to the town to go toward the new truck. The minutes do not name the buyer or provide a contract; the sale is recorded as approved by the board.
