Administrative Director Tom Wolfe told the commission the school plans to expand Welding, Auto Collision and Logistics programs and to add a Pre‑Engineering program. Commissioner Randy Duncan asked why the Willow Mill side corridor width is 18 feet; Mr. Shyk said that area is intended for forklift movement and is gated at the southeast end. Commissioner Pete Sandys suggested the connector between the new and existing buildings be a minimum of 16 feet. There were no public comments recorded.
The commission voted on a motion by Ron Secary, seconded by Randy Duncan, to forward the plan to the Board of Supervisors with a recommendation for approval subject to staff and engineering comments. The motion carried. The Board of Supervisors will receive the plan for final action; a date for that meeting was not specified in the transcript.
