Commission recommends approval of two‑parcel subdivision for future single‑family home

Akens Engineering representative Scott Akens presented a final subdivision plan on behalf of Sean M. and Hailee L. Bower to consolidate two parcels into one for a future single‑family home.
During the presentation Mr. Randy Duncan asked whether the access drive is private and whether there is a maintenance agreement. Mr. Akens said the plan dates to 1963, the roadways were never dedicated to the township and "it is a private drive," and the landowner has been and plans to continue plowing and maintenance. The Planning Commission forwarded two waivers (SLDO 303 and SLDO 402.03 – ER/SA) to the Board of Supervisors with recommendations for approval and forwarded the final plan subject to staff and engineering comments.
The waivers and the plan will be considered by the Board of Supervisors; the Planning Commission's recommendations are advisory.
