HRG presents Carlisle Pike feasibility study; commission pauses before Board presentation

Lori Morgan, Senior Planner with HRG, presented the Carlisle Pike Feasibility Study to the Silver Spring Township Planning Commission on Sept. 5, 2024. Morgan described the work as “part of the Pennsylvania Municipality Planning Code review process,” summarized project goals and outlined draft study findings and recommended next steps.
Commissioner Pete Sandys asked for an extension before the study is presented to the Board of Supervisors so members and the public have more time to review the draft. Township Manager Raymond Palmer said staff would investigate whether additional time could be granted. The commission did not take a formal vote on the study at the Sept. 5 meeting; the item will return to the Board of Supervisors schedule pending staff follow-up.
