Foundations reopening Miller House, says it accepts MassHealth

Foundations Group Recovery Center told the SUDAK meeting that it recently reopened the Miller House as a men's halfway house and is working to connect people into treatment quickly. Kyle Aramey, Foundations' community outreach representative, said the program includes outpatient and supportive-housing options and that reopening the facility expanded local bed capacity.
"We actually just, we were able to reopen the Miller House, the whole Gosnold program," Aramey said, and noted the facility accepts MassHealth. He said Foundations operates outpatient substance-use and behavioral-health clinics, runs the Miller House as a 60–90 day program and maintains relationships with hospitals and recovery coaches to accelerate placements. "We probably have over a 100 employees," Aramey added when asked about staff size.
The group discussed gaps in female-specific halfway-house beds; Aramey said work is underway to add an equivalent female facility. Committee members asked how Foundations handles people who are still under the influence; Aramey said the organization often helps arrange detox and then transitions clients into outpatient supports and longer-term housing.
