Firehouse project a month behind middle school, consultants say

Tony DeLuzio of Colliers told the commission that the Firehouse Project "remains approximately one month behind the Middle School project due to the need to first identify a preferred project option." He said additional site investigations — geotechnical work, surveys and hazardous‑materials assessments — will follow once a preferred option is selected and will take roughly six to eight weeks to complete.
Tecton representatives showed marketing materials and reiterated that the later referendum timeline provides extra time to refine designs and expand public outreach. The commission asked consultants to provide detailed scopes and cost estimates for any additional services required by the extended schedule.
