City places connect navigator at main library, extends Bicentennial Pool season and schedules lifeguard hiring event

Director Emery updated the committee on several community-service items: the city has placed a Connect navigator at the main library to help patrons connect to services, and staff will seek to place navigators in additional city facilities. "As of this week, we actually have a connect navigator placed in main library," Emery said.
On pools, Emery said the city is working to keep Bicentennial Pool open through Sept. 6 with reduced hours because many lifeguard staff return to school; the city will host a rapid-hire event at the Chavez Center to recruit lifeguards. Emery also highlighted the Senior Scene newsletter distribution and encouraged community members to engage with city services and events.
