Presenter Leila Kelly described key lessons learned: cross-sector participation strengthened learning, word-of-mouth was the most effective recruitment tool, and participants wanted more time for skill-building and role-play. "Word-of-mouth was the most effective marketing," Kelly said, noting flyers and ads helped but colleague referrals drove attendance.
Kelly and staff said many attendees found the trainings practical and relevant to their roles: 88% identified a specific practical change they planned to implement and 85% said content was relevant. Presenters recommended repeating the foundational modules, adding supervisor-level training and offering in-house sessions at provider organizations to increase uptake.
