The Marquette County Board reviewed and placed on file a series of 2024 annual reports across departments at its May 20 session (Human Services, Highway, Planning & Zoning, CVSO, Clerk of Court, Emergency Management, IT/MIS, Buildings & Grounds, Land & Water, Parks & Rural Planning) and at the May 29 session (UW Extension, Economic Development & Tourism, District Attorney, EMS, Sheriff's Office, Health, Medical Examiner contract holder, Register of Deeds, Treasurer, County Clerk and Administration).
The board also approved several committee appointments by motion on May 20, confirming citizen and board representatives with terms extending to 2027 or 2028, and adopted resolutions on consent. Administrator Ron Barger reported the county's borrowing funds were received May 12, 2025 and previewed continued strategic planning in June that emphasized tourism and fiscal management. Corporation Counsel Natalie Bussan told the board she will resign effective June 30, 2025. The sessions recessed and adjourned on the listed dates.
