Gull Lake Board approves consent agenda, student trip and Section 125 amendment
Summary
At its Dec. 15, 2025 meeting the Gull Lake Community Schools Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda (including acknowledgement of a counselor retirement), authorized a GLHS Student Senate overnight trip to Grand Rapids (Feb. 21–23, 2026) and adopted a Section 125 Plan amendment; all motions passed unanimously.
The Gull Lake Community Schools Board of Trustees met Dec. 15, 2025, in the Thomas M. Ryan Intermediate Media Center and approved several routine and personnel items as part of a short, 17-minute meeting. Treasurer Laura Zervic moved to approve the consent agenda, with Trustee Krystal Scott-Rhodes supporting; the motion passed unanimously and included acknowledgment with regret of the retirement of Kimberly Ditto, a GLMS counselor.
Principal Bobbi Jo Stoner requested permission for the GLHS Student Senate to travel to Grand Rapids Feb. 21–23, 2026; Treasurer Zervic moved to approve the overnight trip and Secretary Mini Paulose-Murphy seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Later in the meeting Deputy Superintendent Lisa Anderson presented a Section 125 Plan Amendment. Treasurer Zervic moved to approve the amendment and Vice President Desiree LaDuke supported; a roll-call vote recorded seven AYES (LaDuke, Paulose-Murphy, McCann, Keene, Mendez, Zervic, Scott-Rhodes) and no NAYS.
The meeting opened at 7:00 p.m. and adjourned at 7:17 p.m. President Carole Mendez thanked staff for work during the trimester; the minutes were recorded as approved Jan. 19, 2026.
