Jim DeMaagd and Parshall said a prior scope review may allow a potential cost reduction “of approximately $100,000–$150,000,” and the Committee discussed the possibility of bidding elements such as roofing and locker components as alternates to reduce base bid costs. Committee members emphasized designing for low maintenance and requested a detailed architectural cost breakdown and additional financial review with District administration before proceeding to the Board. Outreach to the community, PTOs and the Athletic Boosters was proposed as part of next steps.
