Staff proposes citywide on-call services RFP to speed repairs and grant projects

Leslie Bolt (speaker 11) presented a proposal to create an on-call services list by advertising a request for proposals or qualifications. Bolt said the approach would remain consistent with state procurement rules while allowing faster contracting for routine work when a single on-call roster could be used rather than soliciting three separate quotes.
"A lot of the 3 quotes that have to be gathered up between $20,000 and $60,000...this would kinda give us a list of offerable services," Bolt said, and recommended a three-year base contract with two additional one-year extension options. She said staff would return with a resolution to approve advertising the RFP and bring back vendor lists for award.
