Superintendent Ben Kirby previews open house, onboarding and hiring activity

Superintendent Ben Kirby updated the committee on administrative activity and start-of-year preparations.
Kirby said the district has been busy with new administrators, technology onboarding, leadership-team meetings, BenQ training and professional development. He noted an open house on Aug. 13 for staff and the community to meet new administrators and the superintendent and to tour the new administration building, and that new-teacher training began Aug. 12. "At this time, we are immersed in hiring and evaluations," Kirby said.
The update was informational and accompanied routine operational planning for the start of the school year. The meeting adjourned at 9:35 a.m.
