Julie Davis, Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations, summarized key changes in the state School Aid Budget for the Finance Committee on Aug. 13.
"This includes no increase to the Foundation Allowance, a one-time reimbursement for the district’s contribution to retiree healthcare, and a significant reduction in student mental health and school safety funding," Davis said. She also noted an increase in at-risk funding and one-time funding to reimburse employees who are contributing 3% for retiree healthcare.
The committee received a three-year financial projection that included variance and contract scenarios; Davis presented the projection to illustrate potential budget impacts under different contract and revenue assumptions. The committee did not take final budget action; the updates were informational and intended to inform upcoming Board decisions.
