District facilities staff and Plante Moran Realpoint presented Bid Pack #14, which includes procurement and installation of scoreboards for FHS and NFHS (stadium and auxiliary fields, baseball and softball) and replacement/new stadium lighting at FHS and NFHS. Jon Barth and Scott Smith reviewed scope, schedule and funding scenarios and answered trustees’ questions.
Two alternates were discussed: Alternate #1, a theatrical lighting package for FHS/NFHS stadium fields priced at $82,000; and Alternate #2, alternate foundation and steel for scoreboard installations priced at $44,000. Smith said the recommendation is within the overall 2020 bond budget and approximately $200,000 below the current project budget; the presentation noted that the bid package will be funded from the 2020 Bond.
