Board adopts Thrun personnel and student conduct policy series effective July 1, 2025
Summary

At the May 19 meeting the Chelsea School District board approved a package of policy series (Thrun) that will take effect July 1, 2025.
The approved sets include Non‑Exempt Staff policies (4301–4309), Professional Staff policies (4401–4409), Administrators/Supervisors policies (4501–4508) and Student Conduct and Discipline policies (5206A–5213). The board recorded a vote on student cell-phone policy (voting on Option B to prohibit cell-phone use during the school day).
Motions to approve each policy series were made and seconded during the individual action items section; all recorded votes passed 5-0 with one member absent.
