Erin Hunt-Carter was elected president of the Chelsea School District Board of Education during the board's May 19 regular meeting.
Heidi Reyst moved "Motion to nominate Erin Hunt-Carter - President," which Michelle Craig seconded; the motion passed 5-0 with Sara Tracy recorded as absent. Immediately afterward, Reyst moved to elect Glenn Fox as vice president; Michelle Craig seconded and the motion similarly passed unanimously.
The leadership votes came amid a routine consent agenda and a series of policy approvals. Board members present at the roll call were Michelle Craig, Glenn Fox, Erin Hunt-Carter, Heidi Reyst and Eric Wilkinson; Sara Tracy was absent. The board adjourned the meeting at 8:02 p.m.
