Board members highlight fall events, fundraisers and student activities

Board members shared updates on Fall Fest, homecoming planning, a cross-country meet, a soccer win, a Mark Wells dedication on Oct. 16 and an LSFEE Family Feud fundraiser in November.
Board members used the Sept. 22 meeting to update the community on upcoming events and student activities. Ashley Geib spoke about Fall Fest, winter musical auditions and homecoming planning; Brielle Starks said classes are ramping up and noted a cross-country meet the following day; Wendy Tobias announced the soccer team won that day and asked for help at the concession stand.
Other items included Kenneth Gulock noting a dedication event for Mark Wells on Oct. 16, and Amy Thomas-August previewing the next LSFEE fundraiser, Family Feud, to be held in November and inviting grant requests from the Foundation. Elizabeth Munger and Sue DeLong offered thanks to public speakers and incoming staff and noted community engagement such as the Lac Ste. Clair Art Fair and the district’s Positivity Project focus for the week (curiosity).
